Peter McCann Architectural Models Inc. (PMAMI) was established in Toronto, Ontario in September 1983. Since this time, founder Peter McCann has built a firm based on a solid foundation of attention to detail, craftsmanship, and excellence. It has been this commitment that has served the specialized needs of the firm’s diverse spectrum of clients. PMAMI models are on display throughout the North American marketplace as well as Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Asia. The firm has received global recognition in its ability and reputation to deliver spectacular models to exacting standards to the individual client’s needs. PMAMI has never forgotten its roots in serving the Toronto design and development community and proudly continues to do so for its many valued clients here at home.

Peter’s continued insistence on the firm’s commitment to excellence has brought commissions from all sectors of the development community. Institutional projects such as the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Dallas Fort Worth Airport in Texas as well as numerous spectacular wood models for Duke University show where the company has grown from its inception over 25 years ago. Another recent commission was for the much publicized Trump “Evolution” Project. Emaar Development Corporation and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP sought out the specialized services of PMAMI to produce the marketing model for the world’s tallest tower in Dubai. Our global recognition and reputation for delivering signature projects to exacting standards under extremely demanding timelines has brought some of the most challenging projects to our firm. These are only a few of the projects which have taken the firm from a small local artisan to full global exposure without losing sight of our craft.

Development of this diversification of craftsmanship and education has seen the firm evolve as an innovator within this specialized marketplace. The firm possesses the management ability as well as the artistry to engage their efforts to produce extremely large and complex commissions to meet the industries most demanding schedules. PMAMI handles the client’s needs right from the initial discussions through to arranging shipping details and set-up world wide to provide seamless logistical planning for each unique client and project.

Incorporating state-of-the-art technology such as two laser cutters—including a large format first of its kind in North America, 3-axis CNC machine, and high resolution ABS 3D printers has allowed PMAMI to push the envelope while still maintaining the exacting standards of quality and devotion to craft that their reputation was built upon. With these advancements, Peter McCann has uniquely married modern technology with skilled artisans to produce “one of a kind” showpiece architectural models.
